About the Author
Edward G. Shaw, M.D., M.A.
Physician and mental-health counselor Dr. Edward Shaw is director of the Memory Counseling Program at Wake Forest Baptist Health. He gave up his oncology practice to become a counselor and support-group leader for dementia care partners after the death of his wife, Rebecca, to early -onset Alzheimer’s disease. He is also coauthor of Keeping Love Alive as Memories Fade: The 5 Love Languages and the Alzheimer’s Journey.
