Grace Byfield, Ph.D., Named Interim Director of COAACH

Grace Byfield, PhD has been named the new Interim Director of the Center for Outreach in Alzheimer’s, Aging and Community Health

Her research interests include: Health disparities in African Americans, especially those with Alzheimer’s disease and related Dementias (ADRD). Dr. Byfield received her B.S. from the University of the West Indies in Botany, an M.S. from North Carolina Central University in Biology, and Ph.D. in Microbiology from North Carolina State University. She has been involved in developing and managing the Center’s community engagement and outreach activities geared towards promoting education and increasing awareness of ADRD as well as managing disease risks related to cognitive health.
